The above video by Alton ChungThe first meeting of the 2015/2016 study club season started with a brief recap of last year. An update of scientific information, particularly on inflammatory mediators and a chat about what we can cover in the coming year. Our plans include an all day occlusion program and a cannabis program in cooperation with the public library. Dave Carsten (me) proposes that the club study pharmacology, sedation, airway dentistry, and neurodegenerative disease in the coming year. The proposal of a 5 minute, 20 slide challenge was floated as well. Dr. Burkhart will set a board meeting to make the decisions of the program framework. Over the summer, the paperwork was submitted for recertification of the study club with the Academy of General Dentistry. Arduous but it is done.
