The February meeting was focused on pain, pain mechanisms, and pain management. The current science review was notable for the confirmation of gravity waves. Washington State University researcher also published an article stating that large scale organic agriculture would be possible and affordable. The summary of the article is in the reference section.
We reviewed the commonality of pain on a molecular level, examining G type membrane proteins, ion channels, and how they interact. We also looked at pain as a disease with the example of CRPS and the disaster that it can cause. Torodol, the NSAID, was explored in detail with indications, contraindications, and means of administration. Intramuscular injection methods were reviewed as well. Blaine Chatterton and Alton Chung joined us for lunch and were available for questions. A few days after the meeting, I met with the representative from the Vancouver Library and confirmed the details of the Cannabis Symposium on 24 March. Dave Carsten
