On 6 February 2015, the COORS group sponsored a workshop that focused on how science, empathy, and compassion converge into  Mindfulness, Meditation, and Neural Plasticity:  Be Happy and Have Better Outcomes. Noon to 6 PM.  Many of our medical colleagues attended, and in fact outnumbered our COORS members.  The hospital not only supplied the room, they supplied lunch as well.  I have received many messages from our guests/hosts saying how much they enjoyed the program.  They were amazed that a dental group would do anything like this.  I must say that I have been impressed with the intellectual honesty of this group and its willingness to stretch.  I know the greater community appreciated it last Friday.  I always enjoy working with Geshi la.  The translation work is hard for everyone (especially Lhalung), but when we get it, it's worth the effort.  I have made my slides available in the references section of this website.
